Their Litlle Girl and Boy...

I am talking about parents. For ALL Parents, none are excluded, their children will be always their little boy or girl. We WILL ALWAYS BE!!!

For me, it is important to let them feel that way, but at the same time, I need to prove that I can be independent. Not to show that I don't need them anymore, BUT to let them know that they have brought me up VERY WELL, and my turn to take care of them instead. Anyway, I will still need them, FOREVER, if I were allowed!

Every family is different, but I think all depend on COMMUNICATION.

Hope someone can resolve his problem soon.

Felisha Allena Wong

Miss my niece...

Let me tell you about her...

Whenever we 'talk' on the phone, the only thing that she will say is "Yi Yi" and she will keep quite and listen to me.

Whenever you have camera points at her, she will pose, with the peace sign ^.^ V and says "two".

Whenever you have the music on, she will dance to the music. *I think she can be a good Hip Hop Dancer* =D

Whenever she gets hurt, she will say "tong tong a~" *with a very pitiful expression*

She is a little devil who scares of my little doggie. Go Go Mei Mei!!! She just loves dog =D

She is a strong little girl. For me, she is like Mulan, my favorite Disney character =)

Love her~ Muacksss

Busy November

If people go to a General Practitioner for general check up, I go to Orthopaedic for general consultation.

I am so young (Hmmm Hmmm)... but, all the joints in my body is No Good at all. =( Easily sprained myself!

When I asked the doctor why I always sprained, he laughed and said "How should I know..." =.=

Coming out from his clinic, I always have two things:
- a pack of plaster and
- a piece of advice "Exercise More..."

...........................................................................................................

Here I am... Trying to be a bit active...

Joining the Latin Jam, Yummy bites... Skipped few classes, Planning for future =P, and weeks passed... So Fasttt~ and we are now practicing dancing for our clinic year dinner with other colleagues. They are really good =D I am a no no... Haha... I am trying though.

Talking about dinner, this year is going to end soon. I feel that the 2009 just started few months back. I was just worrying about getting a job, and now, I am going to start another new year, and should plan something to achieve.

Let me use this weekend to plan then =D

Getting Better

I am totally 'home'. That's what I can say now.

It's almost one month since I move in alone to my current room. Everything is definitely getting better.
- I am thankful for those who care and had helped
- I am enjoying the room of my own
- I am enjoying the distance that is now closer to my office
- I am enjoying whatever I have now
- Of course, Landlords that are extremely good to me.

My journey has never lacked of 'good' people. I have always meet them whenever I go. Is it my luck? or they are just everywhere? Either one, I am grateful.

Patriotism by sacrificing in the War. NO NO NO!!!

Indonesia and Malaysia has this never ending case on one steals other's belonging!

I have no further comment on this. If I were have to be involved in this case, then I will just be a supporter of a comment quoted in the news, saying that Malaysia is forgetting how important the role of Indonesia, and How Indonesian is too hot-headed on the current issue.

This is tottally true. There are more and more blog posting, facebook shout-out, the 'fans club' formed against the neighboring brother country. What's the point? Showing their Patriotism?

"I love my country, that's the reason why I should fight for what belong to my country"

Hello! You are definitely are a good citizen. You care about your country, but willing to fight back what belong to you, there are more elegant way to do it. Not by starting a war. Go down to the street and start burning flag. AIR POLUTION!!!

War has never ended anything. It ends only LIFE!

Never ever easily use the word!

Showing patriotism can be done by contributing to the country. If we don't want our culture to be claimed as others, start promoting it! Supporting government by starting the small thing!

Indonesia has always had BIG POTENTIAL We are definitely in advantage in LOTS and LOTS of things. So... Let's start from ourselves.

Mmmm... I can contribute by starting to write about Indonesia, promoting the tourism in Indonesia, maybe? =D Since I am running out of things to write lately.

"Be happy, those who don't know much"

I was browsing through the blog that I 'follow', Thinking Marketing! And read one of the post "Ketut Liyer: Pacarnya Elizabeth Gilbert (Eat, Pray, Live : New York Times Bestseller)".

The post is in Bahasa Indonesia. Am not going to translated the whole things, but I do love the overall story on how the 95 years old man become the "tourism ambassador" for Indonesia, especially Ubud and Bali in general.

Not only that, the thing that I want to post here is when Kartajaya mentioned at the bottom of the post:

"Be happy, those who don't know much"

I will be supporting this statement deep down in my heart. However, now I am not ready to live that way yet!

Tolerance for Imperfection

When you heard how imperfect you are, how should you respond to that?

a. Nobody is perfect, and so am I. So what?
b. I am not perfect? Who is perfect then?
c. Wondering... Give me more more more more and more. Will 'Try' to solve it.

I might fall to the category of c. Sad to say... I just think too much. Maybe should learn to be the 'a' type. Life should be easier that way.

But, if I were to be the 'a' type, aren't I ignorance? I will stay the way I am, with no improvement?

On the other hand, if I stay the way I am, the 'worry-too-much' type, there are different opinions that I should take into consideration. To change to be what people expect me to be, is really not easy to do. =(

If I had been hurting you you and you. Apologize for that. Never had the intention to do so, especially when you talk to me and I don't 'listen'. Not that I don't want, sometimes, I do not realize that you are actually talking to me. My Bad =(

If I forgot to say 'Thank You'. Now: Thank you, Thank you and Thank You.

I can never undo anything, but within the imperfection, believe that there is always tolerance offered. This is when "Love" really is all about. I believe I have it somewhere, pretty sure about that. =D

P.S. Giving tolerance for myself for being imperfect might be the hardest, it always is. If others can do so, why can't I. For me, time is always the best teacher and companion.

Thai One or Taiwan?

Never know that how misleading the word "One" is, especially in Singapore.

Two weeks ago, My Colleague and I went to Thai temple. We met in Chinatown for lunch with her friends.

--> Side tracks: The XO Fish Meat and Fish Head is GREAT!

Anyway, after lunch, as we did not know exactly where the location is, so we took a taxi.

Us : "Thai temple, Uncle."
Driver : "Where is it?"
Us : "Thai temple, do you know where is it? Heard that it is nearby"
Driver : "Oh.... Thai one"
Us : "No... It is Thai temple"
Driver : "Yeah la, Thai one right?"
Us : "No... Not Taiwan, it's Thailand"
Driver : "Yeah la... Thai one lo.."

... (few seconds) I finally catched what he meant.

Linda : "Thai one a, Len. Not Taiwan" (Told my colleague in Hokkien)
telling uncle "Yeah correct uncle, It is Thai one"
Lena : "Ohhhhh..."

Uncle started to drive and kept explaining "Not Taiwan, but I said Thai one"

The moral of the story is:
Don't use the word 'one', when it is unnecessary. =P

Crumpled

A quick update on whatever going on in my mind, with no order!
  • Guitar class has been so much fun, but the 3 hours trips that I need to do for an hour class is definitely tiring.
  • People who take pride in whatever they are doing is definitely live their life to the fullest! A Korean Hairstylist who is extraordinary in his style, the Beverly Hills doctors who help other to get a better life (not merely aesthetic purposes), Waiter who enjoys entertaining customers. They are all are heroes in their own way.
  • I believe all people have those fairy tale life that they wish to live in. I am =)
  • Shop 'til broke. I am now definitely on that state.
  • Making time to read and write. I really try, and need to try harder.
  • Happy that my family is enjoying their trip to Aceh. Although I need a break, but my parents deserve it even more. Good for them.
  • I should try harder in accepting praises =)
  • Starting the day with your favourite song is just AWESOME!
  • Lastly, No matter how tired I am, still grateful for what I have.
Mmmm... Lists can go on and on, but my eyes are not so cooperative now =p
