Happy (Chinese) New Year!

I am late to wish everyone Happy New Year! It seems to be a very busy month to me. It's end of January already, can you believe it? A little bit too late for New Year wishes. Anyway, Chinese New Year is here! so... here I am... wishing everyone a healthy and proseperous new year! For being a chinese, the latter is a must! :) May the kind rabbit brings you a year which full of kindess.

In the last 30 days, a lot had happened. Most of them are happy ones; spending time with my dear family, making a 42 hours trip back to hometown and back to Sg with a full stomach (thanks to Tom, My sis, my bro in law, and Mommy for that), attending my good friend's wedding (I wonder why I get so excited when my friends are getting married. Happiness spreads, I guess).

Unfortunately, among all happiness, a so-called-friend had lied to me over a small little thing, after all my intention to help her! Wonder how poisonus money can be! I really cannot believe that she ACTUALLY lied to me! Gosh! I tried to forgive her, but I guess a bit hard. I will never forget and am learning from this. I am not ready to face her, as I know myself well that I can't play friend, I can't pretend like what she did. When I don't like someone, I will either ignore them OR tell them! Not a very smart part of me, but Life is easier that way!

Phew... Sorry that I was a bit carried away by the incident... Anyway, I would like to start this year fresh! As usual, start the year with goals, end the year with a reflection! This year, I have made my lists, and the lists will make what I am.

1. Healthy Year
I am going for another gastroscopy after CNY break. I hope the result is good this time. I will try my best to live a healthy life this year! This is a REAL Challenge for me... I love coffee, I love sour and spicy food, but they are bad for my tummy. I love going straight home from office, this makes me skip my gym time! Will be more discipline on this! Wish me LUCK! Oh yeah, I need that!

2. Indulging myself in Books
I like to buy books. One of the reason is because most of the time, I read a book more than 2 times, partly because it's a good book, but also because I have bad memory. Anyway, buying book become not so practical nowadays, thus I am getting myself a library card. The plan is.... I am going to library once a month. Yeah, It's only a plan for now. Better than nothing right? :D

3. Signing up for Toastmaster (or other courses)
I have not really looked into this yet, but I thought this will be useful to practice my presentation skill and hopefully improve my conversation or the basic of it - pronunciation!

4. Preparing for Further Study
Yes, I am planning to go back to school next year, earliest! If not next year, then the following year. I think I need to go back to school, because I just love school. :P Anyway, I realize that it will not be an easy journey. There are a lot of things to prepare:

- Financial preparation
- A status, a stabil one
- Some pre-requisite subjects such as: Accounting and Finance. I have basic in Accounting, but Economic and Finance I am clueless.
- GMAT?

Gosh~ I really do not know where to start~

5. Quality Family and Friends Time
I have no plan where to bring my parents to yet this year. I would love to bring them to see a new places, but not sure if I have enough leave to take this year, especially there are friends' wedding lining up. Will try my best to spend quality time with my parents, as a gesture of gratitude, although I know it will never be enough!

There are other plans that are too confidential to reveal for now, so will keep it in my little book.

As a person, I know that I am getting better from day to day! (Hmm Hmmm) My current-self is definetely different from 2 years ago. I am happy that I have always met those people who are kind enough to teach me gently. However, I need to spare some credits to the small number of people in my life that had taught me the hard way. They show me how good others are compare to them. I will start to walk away from these people and value more those who are in the 'others' category.

With all the blessings I have, I wish all people whom I love, whom I like and whom I respect, a blessed new year ahead!

Love,
Linda
